Yellow leaves are a symptom, not a diagnosis. Watering, unsuitable light, nutrient issues, pests and normal ageing are possible causes. Note which leaves are affected and how quickly symptoms develop.
Check moisture and drainage first. Inspect both sides of leaves for pests and roots when safe. Compare conditions with the needs of your plant species.
Do not add fertiliser or water-retaining products without identifying the cause. Aeration at repotting may help a dense mix but does not treat disease. Consult a species-specific diagnostic guide or local adviser if symptoms persist.
