Product description

Expanded volcanic mineral in a 0–6 mm fraction. Perlite keeps potting mixes loose and airy, helps excess water drain and reduces compaction — ideal for houseplants, cuttings and seedlings.

Applications

• Aerating potting mix for houseplants and succulents
• Rooting cuttings
• Seed-starting mixes
• Loosening heavy soil in containers and raised beds

How to use

1. Mix perlite into the growing mix — typically 10–30% of the volume, more for succulents.
2. Moisten perlite slightly before mixing to keep dust down.
3. Fill the pot and water as usual.
4. For cuttings, use pure perlite or a perlite and peat mix kept lightly moist.
