Horticultural Vermiculite 1–5 mm

Product description

Expanded mineral in a 1–5 mm fraction. Vermiculite holds water and nutrients and releases them gradually, keeping the mix evenly moist — very helpful for seed starting, propagation and pots that dry out quickly.

Applications

• Seed starting and covering seeds
• Propagation and rooting cuttings
• Improving moisture retention in balcony and terrace containers
• Mixing into potting mix for moisture-loving plants

How to use

1. Mix vermiculite into the growing mix — typically 10–30% of the volume.
2. For sowing, cover seeds with a thin layer of vermiculite and keep it moist.
3. Water the mix and let excess drain away.
4. Combine with perlite when you want both moisture and air.
